How do I set up an electricity tariff?

You can easily set up your grid feed-in tariff and grid import tariff directly in the app.

 

Set up grid feed-in tariff

  1. Tap "Profile"
  2. Tap "Electricity tariffs"
  3. Tap "Add electricity tariff"
  4. Tap "Grid feed-in tariff"
  5. Select the date from which this tariff is active
  6. Enter your feed-in remuneration directly below
  7. Tap "Create tariff"

 

Set up grid import tariff

  1. Tap "Profile"
  2. Tap "Electricity tariffs"
  3. Tap "Add electricity tariff"
  4. Tap "Grid import tariff"
  5. Select your tariff type:
    If you have a dynamic tariff, select: "Electricity tariff is linked to the spot price" If you have variable grid charges or a day/night (HT/NT) tariff, select: "Electricity tariff contains variable price components"
  6. (Optional) Select your country
  7. Select the date from which this tariff is/should be active
  8. Enter your price per kWh and base price
    If you have variable price components, define the days, times, and prices
  9. Tap "Last step" or "Create tariff"

Examples for setting up your grid import tariff with a dynamic electricity tariff:

Case 1: You have a standard (fixed) grid fee (applies to most electricity customers)

If your grid operator charges you the same grid usage fee around the clock, add this to the levies and add the VAT.

  • Fixed levies: 9.36 ct/kWh

  • Your grid usage fee: 5.72 ct/kWh

  • Net total: 15.08 ct/kWh

  • Including 19% VAT (Gross): 17.95 ct/kWh

Your entry in the app: Enter the gross value of 17.95 ct/kWh under "Surcharge on spot price".

 

Case 2: You have time-variable grid fees (e.g., § 14a EnWG Module 3)

If your grid operator offers lower grid fees during certain off-peak times (e.g., at night), you can define exact time windows for this in our app.

Example assumption:

  • Standard time (06:00 – 22:00): Normal grid fee of 5.72 ct/kWh (net)

  • Off-peak time (22:00 – 06:00): Reduced grid fee of only 2.00 ct/kWh (net)

Now calculate your gross surcharge for both time windows separately (Fixed levies + respective grid fee + 19% VAT):

  1. Standard window: (9.36 ct + 5.72 ct) * 1.19 = 17.95 ct/kWh (gross)

  2. Off-peak window: (9.36 ct + 2.00 ct) * 1.19 = 13.52 ct/kWh (gross)

Your entry in the app: Activate the option for time-variable grid fees and store the time periods and calculated gross values as follows:

  • Period 1 (Off-peak)

    • Time: 00:00 to 06:00

    • Price surcharge: 13,52 ct/kWh

  • Period 2 (Standard):

    • Time: 06:00 to 22:00

    • Price surcharge: 17,95 ct/kWh

  • Period 2 (Off-peak):

    • Time: 22:00 to 24:00

    • Price surcharge: 13,52 ct/kWh

The app now knows exactly when to apply which gross surcharge to the hourly spot price.
